Disclaimer: I’m not a millionaire (yet), but these are my notes on how to join the seven figure club from watching greats like Gary Vaynerchuk, Graham Stephan and Mark Cuban.

There are two ways to become a millionaire.

The first way is to get lucky.

Be born in a wealthy family. Win big in Vegas. Blindly decide to buy a house in Silicon Valley the year before the tech boom.

But luck isn’t a practical strategy, so I won’t talk about it in this article.

Instead, let’s talk about the second way to become a millionaire: following this three-step process.

Step 1: Determine Your Method

To become a millionaire, you need to choose a career or start a business that:

a) you genuinely enjoy doing…

and

b) you can become better than most at.

Without a) you will burn out quickly. Those who love what they do are able to find tiny details in their craft that lead to huge competitive advantages.

You don’t necessarily need to be in love with your career or business’ product, but you have to really, really love at least one aspect of it.
