Interesting summary.

One takeaway from your last paragraph re: the post office/capitalist innovation. A truly communist society (if it were achieved) would die quickly in today's world. They would either be conquered by another country or rendered economically irrelevant.

True communism implies stagnation, or at least less-efficient innovation vs. other economic systems. In a global world, that's a recipe for disaster.
