- This article is not intended to be advice in any way, as I made sure to include in the opening line. Take it as a whole and it's essentially just me articulating why I believe Warren Buffett has pushed index funds so hard.
- "Easy" refers to simplicity, as outlined in the closing paragraph. A few months ago I was overwhelmed by all the potential strategies you could use. I realized the best way to go for an amateur investor who didn't need immediate profit was probably to just stick to index funds.
- Everything in this article is within the context of letting your money sit for multiple decades, as also outlined within the article. I agree a lost decade can be tough psychologically. But if you're targeting at least 20 years, I think historically this strategy has been fine. Would you agree?
